FAVOURITES LEADING THE PACK IN ISCHGL
Clementz, Thoma and Van de Haterd win the Ischgl Overmountain Challenge on September 15, 2013.
In early winter-like conditions, the high alpine area around the Silvretta Bike Arena between Ischgl and the Swiss Samnaun was the venue to determine Europe’s fastest enduro racer. French specialist Jérôme Clementz of Cannondale Overmountain Team managed to finish the technically demanding trail special stages the fastest and won with a top-time of 20:44.56 minutes. The women’s race was won by German endure specialist Ines Thoma of Canyon Factory Enduro Team with a total time of 25:38.59 minutes. 240 competitors (17 women, 194 men) representing 17 nations, defied the harsh weather conditions and made the Tyrolean Ischgl the place to be for Europe’s enduro community.
